About Dr. Kent Julin of Arborscience
Dr. Kent Julin, founder of Arborscience, has more than 40 years of experience in forest management, environmental permitting, and tree safety. He is a well-recognized expert who helps private parties, businesses, and large municipalities solve their tree-management challenges. His capacity to sort through complex matters and then provide clear, sensible solutions sets him above others in the practice of arboriculture.
Kent earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle, his B.S. degree from Humboldt State University, is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist (WE-8733A), an ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor, and a California Registered Professional Forester (2648). Prior to establishing his current successful practice, he worked as a Senior Environmental Scientist for Harding Lawson Associates, a Research Forester for the USDA Forest Service, and as the Marin County Forester. Kent lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where he provides sound advice throughout California.
Sadie Julin
Sadie Julin joined Arborscience on a full-time basis in June of 2021, after ten years working part-time as a field and office assistant. She has a lifetime of experience following her dad around learning about trees. Prior to joining Arborscience full-time she worked as a wildlife biologist in Portland, Oregon.
Sadie earned her B.S. from Oregon State University, is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist (WE-14171A), and is an ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor.
